‘Ramsay look-alike’ rapist spiked drinks

A RAPIST attacked a woman he met through the website Plenty of Fish, after claiming he looked like Gordon Ramsay, a court heard.

The woman told how George Cummings, 55, from Glasgow, visited her in January 2016 when they made contact on Plenty of Fish.

She said: “He told me people said he looked a lot like Gordon Ramsay. When I saw him in the flesh I thought ‘what have I done?’.”

The victim told the court that Cummings poured the pair two glasses of Rioja, but after drinking the wine she has no memory until she woke up at 3am dressed in different clothes.

The court heard Cummings raped another woman in 1992 after spiking her soft drinks at a bar and then again with cocaine at his flat.

Cummings denied attacking the women and accused them both of being liars while giving evidence.

He was convicted of both sex attacks on Wednesday at Glasgow’s High Court. He is due to be sentenced at the court next month.
