Disgraced pop star faces 24 sex charges
♦ Disgraced music mogul Jonathan King was back in court yesterday to face 24 charges of serious sexual assault against boys aged between 14 and 16, alleged to have taken place between 1970 and 1988.
The convicted paedophile, 73, allegedly exploited his TV and pop fame to attack 11 teenagers.
Southwark Crown Court heard King lured the boys with promises of sex with girls and gifts. King, of Bayswater, London, standing trial at Southwark Crown Court, denies all 24 charges, stating he would never have sex with anyone under age or force himself on someone without consent. But the prosecution called his denials “hollow”, referring to his sex convictions of 2001.
The trial continues.
