Dirty dozen at heart of Hun Sen’s power base

Twelve senior members of Cambodia’s security forces form the “backbone” of prime minister Hun Sen’s “ruthless” regime, according to Human Rights Watch. They have been accused of leading a crackdown on the opposition before upcoming elections in the new report, Cambodia’s Dirty Dozen. The claims were denied by Phnom Penh.
