Outnumbered stars ‘together in real-life romance’

-

THE stars of Outnumbered, Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner, who play husband and wife in the BBC television sitcom, have been in a relationship for a year after their real-life marriages broke down, it was claimed last night.

The Sun reported that Dennis, 56, and Skinner, 53, who play parents Pete and Sue Brockman in the hit show, first got together in March last year.

Mother-of-two Skinner split from her partner two-and-a-half years ago, while Dennis and his second wife separated in 2015, it was said.

A friend told the newspaper: “They’ve been out in public quite a lot, just no one has quite cottoned on to it.” The pair are said to have been open with relatives about their romance.

Representatives for both actors did not respond to the Telegraph’s request for a comment last night.

As parents on Outnumbered they raised three children, Jake, Ben and Karen, played by Tyger Drew-honey, now 22, Daniel Roche, 18, and Ramona Marquez, 17.

The show ran for five series over seven years, with a separate Christmas special spin-off in 2016.
