The Incredibles (2004) DISNEY CHANNEL, 5.35PM ★★★★

 Mr Incredible and his wife Elastigirl (voiced by Craig T Nelson and Holly Hunter), once a crimebusting duo who made it their business to rid Municiberg of hoodlums, have been banished to the suburbs with their superhuman brood. But they are soon forced out of retirement. This charming animation is full of wit and drama, and acerbic costume designer Edna Mode is a highlight. Incredibles 2 is in cinemas from today.

Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003) DAVE, 9.00PM ★★★

 Antonio Banderas reprises his Desperado role as the gun-slinging guitarist for this third and final film in Robert Rodriguez’s Mexico Trilogy. El Mariachi is now mentally scarred by the murder of his wife Carolina (Salma Hayek). Meanwhile, Agent Sands (Johnny Depp) is on a mission to kill a drug lord (Willem Dafoe). The plot is messy, but the director’s flair for set pieces saves the day.

Last Boy Scout (1991) ITV, 10.45PM; NOT STV ★★★

 Tony Scott, known for his visual pyrotechnics, directed this stylish yet clichéd thriller which brings action man Bruce Willis together with comic actor Damon Wayans. Willis stars as down-and-out private detective Joe Hallenbeck, whose client Cory (Halle Berry), a stripper, is killed. This leads Joe to team up with Cory’s faltering American football star boyfriend (Wayans) to find the murderer.
