Novichok victim can hardly talk, says brother

-

Charlie Rowley, who was released from Salisbury District Hospital on Friday after being struck down by the Novichok nerve agent 20 days earlier, is still fragile, according to his brother.

Matthew Rowley has not yet been allowed to visit his brother at a police safe house but they have spoken on the phone. He said: “He is too tired to talk. It still seems as if he is on some really strong medication. I cannot really get any detail out of him. You know he is not right. He found it hard to string a sentence together.”

He hopes to visit Mr Rowley, whose partner Dawn Sturgess was killed by the substance, tomorrow.
