Wood plots City idea

Bristol City fan Chris Wood intends to call in a favour with the football club’s manager Lee Johnson to get behind the scenes at the Championship side’s sports science department.

“I understand I’m not on their priority list, but I thought I need to get something going here so I sent Lee a message, and he came straight back to me,” said Wood, who shot 74 yesterday, to finish in a tie for 28th on even par.

“I know they’ve been away, obviously, on pre-season last week. I might send him a message tomorrow and see if I can pop in and just start the ball rolling a bit. If something comes of it, that would be awesome.”
