Riding high

A “caixer” (horse rider) rears up on his mount during the traditional “jaleo” at the Sant Antoni Festival in Fornells, Menorca in the Balearic Islands. The fiesta, which dates from the 14th century, sees riders make their horses jump to the music as the crowd tries to touch the animal’s heart for luck.
