Third Point takes stake in Paypal

Activist investor Third Point’s Daniel Loeb has revealed the fund has taken a stake in finance giant Paypal. Mr Loeb pointed to parallels between Paypal and internet platforms such as Netflix and Amazon, and said he expects shares in the company to rise to $125 (£95) within the next 18 months, 43pc higher than Friday’s close.
