Bijou on the beach
It has no mains electricity and no lavatory. But this 18ft-by-15ft beach hut on the exclusive Mudeford Spit in Christchurch, Dorset, has just sold for £300,000. Hut 475, as it is officially known, is last in a row of cabins, with extra space to the side, storage space underneath, decking and steps, and a mezzanine interior that can sleep six people. Lighting is powered by solar panels on the roof and there is a kitchen. If rented out, the owner can expect to make about £1,000 a week.
