Man jailed for cutting lover’s throat during sex

A man accidentally killed a woman during sadomasochistic sex with a knife he kept under his pillow, a court heard.

Jason Gaskell, 24, was jailed for six years at Sheffield Crown Court after admitting the gross negligence manslaughter of Laura Huteson, 21, in his home in Hull.

Judge Jeremy Richardson QC told Gaskell: “You deliberately held the knife to her throat during sexual intercourse. That knife went through her neck, severing a vital artery.”
