Buddhist monk ‘beat boy to death’

A nine-year-old Buddhist novice has died in Thailand after a monk allegedly beat him with a stick and struck his head against a pillar.

Suphachai Suthiyano, 64, assaulted Wattanapol Sisawad for disrupting a prayer session at a temple, it is claimed.

The monk faces prosecution.
