Gang members must move out, says IDS

 Gang members should be forced to move out of crime-hit areas to curb violence, Iain Duncan Smith has suggested.

The former Tory party leader said solutions to curb growing violence include taking children “out of the gangs” and relocating families.

He also called for “intensifying” the use of stop and search. It comes days after the number of killings in London this year reached 100. “Kids as young as 10 are running drugs and knives from London,” he said. “If you get them out of gangs, you will collapse the gangs from the inside. [Take] kids out of the gangs, give them alternative work and move families when necessary.”
