Millennials are floored by the very thought of laundry
Incredible scenes at Unilever, where executives have been forced to “futureproof ” their portfolio of laundry brands by creating a product for millennials who don’t like to do any washing. Day 2 went on sale online last week, a sort of advanced Febreze that apparently refreshes, reshapes and de-wrinkles clothes that have been left on the “floordrobe”. If you’re wondering what a floordrobe is, come round to my house any time and have a look at one. An alternative to a floordrobe is a chairdrobe. Another alternative is a wardrobe, but let’s not be getting ahead of ourselves.
Apparently, millennials dislike laundry because they don’t like to waste water or energy. This might explain why so many people dislike millennials – because they don’t like humans who smell of body odour.
Personally, I love doing laundry, and am often complimented on the strong scent of fabric conditioner that emanates from me.
Still, could Unilever please come up with a product that folds laundry and puts it away? I’m asking for a friend, obviously.
