Zim­babwe crowd­funds to halt cholera out­break

Zim­babwe’s new fi­nance min­is­ter has set up an emer­gency crowd fund to raise money to fight a cholera out­break that has killed 26 peo­ple.

Mthuli Ncube tweeted about the ap­peal in an at­tempt to raise funds to halt the spread of the disease. It has been de­clared an emer­gency in the coun­try’s cap­i­tal, Harare.

Pub­lic gath­er­ings have also been banned, in­clud­ing an event by Nel­son Chamisa, the op­po­si­tion leader who says he was cheated in the last elec­tion.
