Macron opens Elysee’s wine cellar to public

The Daily Telegraph - - World News -

Emmanuel Macron is to open the Elysée Palace’s vast wine cellar to the public for the first time this weekend as part of an attempt to promote France’s national heritage.

The cellar houses 14,000 bottles that are served to foreign dignitaries and the presidential couple alike.

Unlike his teetotal predecessor, Nicolas Sarkozy, Mr Macron is a wine buff who says he drinks a glass at lunch and dinner.
