Kweku Adoboli has lived in the UK since he was 12, but does not have citizenship
allowed to do its job. But it’s an awkward aspect of that system that people who have lived here for decades since childhood often still aren’t citizens, usually because the constantly changing mire of paperwork is such a pain.
