Fraudster jailed for stealing Grenfell cash

-

A former finance manager at Kensington and Chelsea council who stole £62,000 from a Grenfell Tower victim support fund has been jailed for five and a half years.

Jenny Mcdonagh, 39, from Abbey Wood, south-east London, had pleaded guilty to charges of fraud, theft and concealing criminal property. The stolen money funded a lavish lifestyle of gambling, high-end dining, expensive clothes and luxury holidays.

Judge Robin Johnson, passing sentence at Isleworth Crown Court yesterday, told her: “The scale of your dishonesty beggars belief.”
