Dutch police foil ‘major terror plot’

A large quantity of bombmaking materials, including fertiliser likely to be used in a car bomb, was found following the arrest of seven terror suspects, Dutch investigators said yesterday.

The seven were seized on Thursday in Arnhem and Weert, and are suspected of wanting to carry out a “major” attack. They briefly appeared in court yesterday on terror-related charges.
