 It’s vegan week – this wouldn’t have happened on BBC Two – which, as anyone who’s tried a vegan brownie will be able to testify, presents a pretty stern challenge. What will the remaining bakers make of a savoury pastry without butter, or a showstopper that once again threatens to fall foul of the brutally hot summer we all suffered through this year?
