Kim wants Pope to visit N Korea

Kim Jong-un, the North Korean leader, wants Pope Francis to visit the officially atheist country, South Korea said yesterday.

Moon Jae-in, the South Korean president, said Kim had told him the Pope would be “enthusiastically” welcomed in North Korea. Mr Moon is due to meet Pope Francis on Oct 18.
