Bangladesh politician guilty of grenade attack

A Bangladesh court yesterday gave a life sentence to Tarique Rahman, head of the main opposition party, and sentenced 19 more people to death for a 2004 grenade attack on Sheikh Hasina, the current prime minister, that killed 20 people. Rahman, 50, was tried in absentia after he fled the country for London in 2008.
