The Generation Game

Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins hosted the revival of the Saturday night game show. Critics hated it, but there is talk of more episodes later this year.

Blankety Blank

Terry Wogan and Les Dawson handed out the chequebook and pen until 1990. Lily Savage (aka Paul O’grady) hosted a Nineties revival and David Walliams a 2016 one-off.

Minder

The Eighties comedydrama returned in 2009 with Shane Richie and Lex Shrapnel in the roles once played by George Cole and Dennis Waterman.

Blind Date

Brought back by Channel 5 in 2017 with O’grady as host, but ratings were a fraction of what ‘Our Cilla’ Black used to get.
