IPSWICH HAPPY TO KEEP HIGG
IPSWICH boss Mick McCarthy expects to secure a deal to keep Danny Higginbotham at the club until the end of the season after an impressive start to life at Portman Road.
Former Manchester United youngster Higginbotham has been on loan from Stoke since September and while he has spent a spell out of favour recently, McCarthy wants him to stay longer.
“I spoke to (Stoke manager) Tony Pulis. He’s happy to do that and Danny is as well. So we just need to tie that up,” said McCarthy.
“He wants to fight for his place and I imagine we’ll keep him for the rest of the season.”
