DEAN BREED – WATFORD

The Football League Paper - - CHAMPIONSHIP -

IT’S a sign of how far we’ve come that I’m disappointed with only a point against the leaders.

We played quite well but Cardiff and the returning Malky Mackay came with a game plan to get the point and they were determined to hang on for it so they deserve credit for that.

At the end of last season on the brink of financial meltdown, I could never have imagined us challeng- ing for automatic promotion this year.

I can only give credit to the Pozzos, Gianfranco Zola and the backroom staff for our successes already this campaign.

It is wonderful to witness such attractive free-flowing football at Vicarage Road this season and the whole squad are committed to the club which is an important factor for all supporters.

Let’s hope we’re back in the big time come the end of May – who knows if that will be in the playoffs or automatically!
