NICK CASE – BOURNEMOUTH

The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE ONE -

WHAT a turnaround at Bournemouth, after a terrible opening to the season we arrived at a sunny Dean Court sitting pretty in second place.

The squad always had the talent, it just lacked direction and the return of Eddie Howe, coupled with some smart acquisitions in the transfer market have seen us rocket up the table.

Credit has to go to County who enjoyed a lot of possession and provided a scare early on with a well-taken goal but when one of those shrewd signings Brett Pitman smashed us into a two-one lead with his sixth goal in six games there was no looking back.

Pitman’s goal was sandwiched by two lovely Matt Ritchie strikes, and it is this quality in front of goal along with our current solid defensive unit that will hopefully see us through the next three games that we have to treat as if they are cup finals and then maybe, just maybe, we will be playing in the Championship next season.
