BRENTFORD manager Uwe Rösler hopes on-loan Fulham striker Marcello Trotta is back to his best for the season run-in after the Italian ended a seven-game goalless run this week.

The 20-year-old scored his seventh of the campaign when he volleyed home in Brentford’s 2-0 win at Crewe Alexandra last Wednesday.

Rosler said:“Young players go through tough spells sometimes. Marcello had been playing at a very high level and had played most of the games for us.

“He’s not used to playing that intensity. Marcello’s looked very good in training and showed the right attitude. I always believed in him.”
