PLATT’S HIGH HOPES FOR COBBLERS
NORTHAMPTON TOWN striker Clive Platt hopes the winning feeling in the squad at the moment will be good enough to clinch automatic promotion in the final weeks of the season.
The 35-year-old has scored seven goals under Town manager Aidy Boothroyd as they are close to clinching a play-off spot and have edged closer to the division’s top three.
“We have that feeling at the moment, that when we play at home we are going to win,” said Platt.
“There are a few players at the club who have been in this position before and hopefully the older lads can help the younger lads through this experience.”
