POMPEY CHIME AGAIN AT LAST

The Football League Paper - - CHAMPIONSHIP -

I AM sure I am not alone in being delighted at the way things have worked out for Portsmouth Football Club. When we played at Fratton Park last weekend there was uncertainty as to how things would unfold this week.

To know that the supporters can now take their club forwards is a huge relief for them. Theirs is sure to be a sweet relegation this season if there can be such a thing.

Yes they will awake in League Two next season. But they will be a massive club at their level and after all their upheaval, it will not be a surprise if they emerge to fight back strongly with a promotion next season.

The size of the club alone will attract top players for their level and we all know just how strongly supporters’ clubs have performed in these situations.
