YEOVIL boss Gary Johnson believes his team are Championship quality after goals from Sam Foley and James Hayter guaranteed a play-off spot.

Foley opened the scoring with a curled effort from the edge of the area eight minutes into the second-half before Hayter thumped the ball home from six yards with ten minutes remaining.

Dani Lopez’s well-placed header almost gave Boro a half-time lead but a diving Marek Stech denied the Spaniard.

Johnson said:“We did look a Championship team at the end against a Boro team that were hanging in there.

“It’s a magnificient achievement for our club, our supporters and our players to get into a play-off position. We’ve still got to keep going through and try and touch the teams above us.

“I wanted us to consolidate and we have. It’s nice to do that. It’s been a fantastic end to the season whatever happens. In the first half we were absolutely hopeless. I felt most of them didn’t turn up. It was 0-0 so that was the only positive.

“I must have pushed a few buttons because when we came out we looked totally different.”
