Millers on track as Cod Army flounder
ROTHERHAM ......2 FLEETWOOD ......1
cued a clearance straight to Nardiello who lashed home from the edge of the area.
The visitors equalised three minutes later as Junior Brown’s mis-hit shot following a left-wing cross from Millers old boy Gareth Evans fell to Ball who slotted home.
After half an hour, Agard fired wide from a narrow angle after latching onto Alex Revell’s flick-on.
Shortly after the hour mark, Rotherham regained the lead as Agard slotted past Davies after Ben Pringle’s shot from the edge of the area deflected into his path.
Fleetwood boss Graham Alexander concedes his players need to become more streetwise.
“We gave Rotherham a goal after three minutes but we responded and I cannot question anyone’s commitment as it was a performance full of effort,” he said.
“I don’t think Rotherham are a better team than us, just a little bit more worldlywise at the minute.
“I’m looking for the same levels of commitment in our remaining games and a little bit more quality.
“We have a massive responsibility to do well in next week’s game in what is probably our last home game this season.
“We have shown plenty of commitment this season, just lacked a little bit of quality.”
