SPIREITES STAY IN WITH SHOUT

The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE TWO - By Aaron Bower

BRADFORD remain in pole position to take the final League Two play-off place, but Sam Togwell’s late goal ensured Chesterfield snatched a draw, leaving coach Mark Crossley adamant the Spireites can finish seventh. Brendan Malone’s performance.

“I thought we dominated the game in truth; we completely had the better play and we had about three or four penalty appeals turned down, with a blatant one missed with the handball,” Parkinson lamented.

“It’s an absolute disgrace how that’s not been given, I’ve no idea what he’ll say to me but there’s four officials and they’re all connected with microphones, so someone surely must have seen it.

“The lads were terrific, but I think if we’d have had a better referee today we’d have got at least two penalties for sure. It was always going to be difficult against a good side like Chesterfield, but I

thought we did well.”
