RHODES IS BACKING TERRIERS

The Football League Paper - - FRONT PAGE -

JORDAN Rhodes may have gone a long way to condemning his former side Huddersfield to relegation on Tuesday but he still hopes to see them in the Championship next season.

The 23-year-old scored the winner for Blackburn in a clash that did as much damage to the Terriers’ cause as good for Rovers.

“I really hope both sides can stay up, and that we see each other for a Championship game next season,” said Rhodes, who moved in August for £8million.

“Looking back, never did I think the situation would be like it is, both clubs are fighting for survival. I hoped they would be up at the other end of the table.”
