KID MATT STARS FOR WYCOMBE
MATT Ingram would have been a Wycombe regular sooner had the Wanderers not been fighting relegation, says goalkeeping coach Lee Harrison.
The 19-year-old made his debut at the end of March but impressed with three clean sheets in six games.
“We spoke when Nikki Bull left about putting Matt in and he was borderline ready then,” said Harrison.
“We were bottom of the league and it’s a big call to put a young keeper in and try to test him at that point.
“I’d already said to him, ‘You’ll play this year’, and he’s done exactly what I thought he would do, because he’s so unfazed by anything.”
