The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE ONE -

SO, we have a final day shootout with Brentford for promotion from League One, after a frustrating 1-0 defeat at home to Notts County summed up our season as a whole. Our home form has just not been good enough. Having said that, this season has been tremendous after such a turbulent summer with around 20 new faces coming into the squad.

A change of manager, a record-breaking away run and 45 games later we find ourselves in the same situation as five years ago. One win and we’re up.

Disappointingly we couldn’t get the job done at home but we go away to Brentford knowing what we need to do and our away record speaks for itself.

Brian Flynn has done a fantastic job of keeping us top of the league for so long and despite a few doubters I still believe he’s going to take us up, it is just going to go right down to the wire for us to do it.

OH NO: Rob Jones of Doncaster Rovers looks dejected after putting a header wide
