Craw­ley went within an inch of tak­ing a 52nd minute lead when a Nicky Adams cor­ner struck Paul Hayes only for Dean Bouza­nis to gather the ball on the goal line. The Lat­ics opened the scor­ing four min­utes later how­ever when Smith took aim from the edge of the area to beat Paul Jones and find the bot­tom cor­ner.

They con­ceded a soft equaliser af­ter be­ing caught nap­ping at Matt Sadler’s 77th minute cor­ner which saw Nicky Adams’ de­flected strike fall kindly for the un­marked Con­nolly.

But Mvoto headed home late on to spark a pitch in­va­sion from Jose Bax­ter’s free­kick, giv­ing Old­ham their third con­sec­u­tive win.

Craw­ley man­ager, Richie Barker said:“Some of the play­ers just didn’t turn up. They looked like they were just about ready for their hol­i­days and if that is the case then I won’t bother pick­ing them for the next two games.

“I still feel the re­sult was a lit­tle bit harsh be­cause we prob­a­bly de­served to get some­thing out of the game.

“I thought we could get a re­sult here but we didn’t see the game through.”
