THIS WEEK: Lewis Grabban – Bournemouth
Putting the public and private lives of players under the spotlight
ON THE SPOT
Position: Forward Date of Birth: 12/01/1988 Marital Status: Single Former Clubs: Crystal Palace, Oldham (loan), Motherwell (loan), Millwall, Brentford, Rotherham Car you bought? I’m buying a car this week – a Mercedes. It’s a nice car. CD you bought? I haven’t bought a CD in years. I’d say Kanye West. Goal you scored? Against Portsmouth I think. It was just a cross, it fell to me and I put it in. Time you were sent off? I’ve never been sent off. Injury? I broke my wrist in 2010, but it wasn’t too serious. Trophy won? I have a play-off medal with Millwall when we got promoted in 2010. The year before we were runners-up so it was extra special.
THE JURY’S OUT:
Tea or Coffee? I don’t drink either of them often but I had a coffee recently. Beans on toast or pasta? They’re both terrible – pasta if I had to choose. Caribbean with the missus or Magaluf with the lads? Caribbean with the missus, every time. Eastenders or Corrie? Again they’re both terrible. Let’s say Corrie. Big Brother or X Factor? Big Brother. I find it a bit cringeworthy watching people sing. Megan Fox or Jessica Alba? Megan Fox.
TIME ADDED ON:
Who did you support as a boy? Liverpool. I always used to like Robbie Fowler and Steve McManaman. Who is the best player you have played with? Andy Johnson when he was at Crystal Palace and they were in the Premier League. He was very good at using his pace and scoring. Who is the loudest manager you have played under? Steve Evans at Rotherham. That’s the way he gets his points across. What three words best describe you? Relaxed, serious... jokey. Which newspaper do you read? I don’t really read newspapers, I’d probably listen to Sky News. Which TV football pundit makes you cringe? On The Football League Show, Leroy Rosenior says things that that make me think: “I’m not sure if he knows what he’s talking about.” And who do you really listen to? Obviously Gary Neville on Sky Sports, but anyone who is honest and says their honest opinion and has played the game at the highest level really. He’s a good example. Another is Alan Shearer – I don’t mind listening to him. Do you have any superstitions? No. I have a routine before games, not a ritual. If I didn’t do it I wouldn’t be worried. What are your hobbies? I like films and I’m quite interested in fashion. I’ve got a few friends who make films so I follow what they do. Which five people would you invite round for a dinner party? Floyd Mayweather, he’d provide some entertainment. George Clooney, I’d invite him see what he’s got to say. Mike Tyson would be interesting. For the younger generation a guy called A$AP Rocky, he’s a new rapper, and for the fifth person, Jay-Z.
Who is the worst dressed player at the club? Marc Pugh. He’s got a non-existant dress sense.
