TAYLOR FOLLOWS IN OWEN’S FOOTSTEPS
SHREWSBURY winger Jon Taylor has followed Michael Owen’s lead in a bid to stay off the treatment table.
Taylor was told he needed a hernia operation and had suffered groin problems before he was fitted with an orthotic insole to counter the fact one leg is longer than the other.
“I was taking painkillers and injections to get through games. I went to see a guy in Stoke who has worked with players like Michael Owen,” he said.
“I got measured out for the insoles and, since then, I’ve worked hard doing loads of exercises and it’s felt a lot better.”
