JONES IS KEEN TO BE A BOSS

The Football League Paper - - NEWS -

ROB Jones has signed a twoyear contract extension as player-coach of Doncaster in what he hopes are his first steps into management.

The 33-year-old took the job when former boss Dean Saunders left for Wolves – and he wants more.

“The chance I have been given had an influence as I have made it known that coaching and managing is where I want to move towards when my playing career ends eventually,” said Jones.

“The decision was easy for me and was made quickly. I have enjoyed the extra responsibility but also I am at a good club with a good group of players who can move this club forward.”
