SOUTHEND GIVE YOUTH A CHANCE

The Football League Paper - - NEWS -

SOUTHEND manager Phil Brown has given professional deals to three academy players – ex-Arsenal winger Mitchell Pinnock, striker Seedy Njie and right-sided player Ryan Auger.

Southend head of youth Ricky Duncan – who has also seen three players offered development deals – said: “Since Phil Brown came in he’s been to a number of our games, and it’s a big boost for all the players to have the first-team manager watching them.

“Six lads have been given the opportunity to continue their development and it’s fantastic for everyone involved in the youth set-up that they’ve been given this chance.”
