GOOD­I­SON NEW DEAL AT AGE 40

VET­ERAN Tran­mere defender Ian Good­i­son has been of­fered a new con­tract at Pren­ton Park – at the age of 40.

Ja­maica in­ter­na­tional Good­i­son be­came the first 40-year-old to ap­pear for the club in Novem­ber and played 12 times last sea­son.

Man­ager Ron­nie Moore said:“If Ian Good­i­son signs, it will be his 10th sea­son at the club which would be a fan­tas­tic achieve­ment. He has never let me down and his ex­pe­ri­ence is some­thing you can­not buy.

“We have al­ready iden­ti­fied the ar­eas we want to strengthen and have a list of tar­gets and we’ll be work­ing hard to bring in the play­ers we need over the sum­mer.”
