DONS SET UP KEEPER SHOOT-OUT

MK DONS boss Karl Robin­son wants his two keep­ers to bat­tle for the No. 1 shirt af­ter sign­ing up David Martin un­til June 2015.

The new two-year deal for Robin­son’s first sign­ing at the club will see Martin chal­lenge Ian McLough­lin, who has been first-choice of late for the Dons.

“Ian McLough­lin has come in over the past few months and done a fan­tas­tic job.We’re go­ing to of­fer Ian a con­tract as well and hope­fully the two of them can fight for a place next year,” said Robin­son.

“David is a won­der­ful as­set to this club as, on top of what he of­fers on the pitch, he is also an ex­cel­lent ambassador in the city.”
