PARSLOW: YORK WILL DO BETTER

The Football League Paper - - CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY-OFFS -

YORK midfielder Daniel Parslow claims that retaining their Football League status can help the Minstermen have a much better season next year.

The 27-year-old has signed a two-year contract extension and hopes the last-gasp escape isn’t needed next time.

“It was a huge relief to stay up on the final day,” said the former Wales U-21 international. “It wasn’t how we wanted it to go. I think last season was always going to be difficult, but we didn’t foresee the situation we found ourselves in.

“It’s great to get the contract sorted out, coming off the back of such a difficult season.”
