2002/03: Fin­ished 15th in Di­vi­sion One af­ter early-sea­son hopes of the play-offs faded 2003/04: Fin­ished 17th in Di­vi­sion One, los­ing to Arse­nal on penal­ties in the League Cup thir d round 2004/05: Rel­e­gated to the new League One af­ter fin­ish­ing bot­tom of the Cham­pi­onship on 29 points. Ron­nie Moore leaves as man­ager 2005/06: Mick Har­ford came and went as boss but Alan Knill steer ed the club clear of a sec­ond suc­ces­sive rel­e­ga­tion in a fi­nal-day show­down with MK Dons 2006/07: Started the sea­son with a 10-point de­duc­tion af­ter go­ing into ad­min­is­tra­tion. Knill left, and Mark Robins couldn’t pre­vent the in­evitable rel­e­ga­tion 2007/08: Started life in League Two well, but an­other 10-point de­duc­tion put paid to their play-of f chances. Fin­ished ninth 2008/09: Tony Ste­wart took over as chair­man and bought the club out of ad­min­is­tra­tion. A fur­ther 17point penalty was in­curred and the Millers moved out of their Mill­moor home of 101 years to the Don Val­ley Sta­dium. Fin­ished 14th 2009/10: Robins de­parted for Barns­ley in Septem­ber with the club top of the league. Ron­nie Moore came back for his sec­ond spell but fell to a play-of f fi­nal de­feat to Da­gen­ham & Red­bridge 2010/11: Moore left by mu­tual con­sent in March. Andy Scott came in and led the Millers to an­other ninth-place fin­ish 2011/12: Scott was sacked in March, Steve Evans was ap­pointed in April and the club got to within five points of the play-offs 2012/13: First sea­son in the New York Sta­dium, Evans guided the club to sec­ond place and back to League One for the first time in six years
