BRAD­FORD’S po­tent strike force means they should not go short of goals fol­low­ing pro­mo­tion.

City are a work in progress un­der Sean O’Driscoll af­ter rel­e­ga­tion from the Cham­pi­onship, but the head coach has made shrewd sign­ings in the skil­ful Jay Em­manuel- Thomas and hard-work­ing Scott Wagstaff.

Two de­fen­sive howlers cost the home side an open­ing day win and they will need to tighten up their mark­ing at set-pieces.

Brad­ford were in­dus­tri­ous all over the pitch and should have few prob­lems ac­cli­ma­tis­ing to the higher league. Man­ager Phil Parkinson, who will have been the hap­pier man, re­vealed he tried to sign Wagstaff this sum­mer, but couldn’t com­pete with the Robins wages.
