The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE ONE -

THREE of Lancashire’s clubs got some food for thought this week – after marking the start of the 125th Football League season by receiving a special good luck gift from their pie suppliers.

Blackburn, Preston and Accrington were all recipi- ents of special pies from the Clayton Park Bakery on the eve of the new season.

North End midfielder Jack King was on hand to r eceive the match-day delicacy with boss Simon Grayson.

And Grayson warned King, a shining star in a season of struggle for Preston last term, he wouldn’t be seeing much more of the tasty treats.

“The pies look perfect for me and the staff – not the players!” Grayson said.

“I know the fans enjoy them and hopefully between us all we will have the recipe for success this season.”
