CALVIN An­drew ad­mits he may have lost a yard or two of pace over the years but has backed him­self to out­run most of League Two af­ter sign­ing for Mans­field.

The 26-year-old for­mer Crys­tal Palace striker has been train­ing with the Stags and af­ter wait­ing pa­tiently for his regis­tra­tion to be pro­cessed he be­lieves he can be a hit.

“I’ve kept my­self fit over the off-sea­son and have put in a lot of work to get my­self right. I feel I did my­self jus­tice in the few games which I’ve played in,” he said.

“I’m a strong and pow­er­ful for­ward with pace. I’m per­haps not as quick as I used to be but will still out run most in this league, I’m sure.”
