THANKS to Yeovil’s play-off heroics last term, both Brentford and Sheffield United have been left to scrap for promotion once again.

Uwe Rosler claimed Sheffield United should be in a higher division than they are. That may be true but the Blades remain a work in progress under David Weir.

The visitors looked disjointed and struggled to offer a supply to front man Lyle Walker. They are missing a creative spark and, with Kevin McDonald heading to Wolves, Weir will need to replace him.

Brentford, on the other hand, look keen to put their devastating end to last season right. Under Rosler they have become known as one of the best footballing sides in the division and they proved it with a slick display.
