GRAY AIMS TO WIN CONTRACT
WALSALL boss Dean Smith has told former Saddlers winger Julian Gray to keep his options open despite admitting an interest in signing the 33-year-old.
Gray, who left Walsall in 2011, has been training with the club since his release from Cypriot outfit Nea Salamis Famagusta and Smith has been impressed.
“Julian is a player who did really well for me when I first took over in the job,” Smith said.
“He has had a fantastic attitude and is a really good footballer. He has kept himself fit. He is hoping he can earn a contract here and I have said we will take a look at him.”
