PLYMOUTH AND BURY GET LIFT-OFF AT LAST
GREAT win for my local club Plymouth last weekend, especially having had two abysmal performances – John Sheridan’s words – in their first two games.
And to do it at Cheltenham, who hadn’t lost at home for 20-odd games, was very impressive. For me, that was the performance of the week, in any division.
The relief going round Home Park was tangible and the ques- tion now is, can they keep it up? I hope so.
In the same vein, well done to my old mate Kevin Blackwell,
right, and his assistant Ronnie Jepson, whose Bury side got off the mark with a great 3-0 win over Accrington.
That first win lifts a huge weight off you and Kevin and John will have enjoyed training so much more this week.
